Nussbaumer Patriz

History

The company was founded in 1890 by our great-grandfather as a small wagon-making business. As the amount of work in the wagon-making business steadily declined, our grandfather Josef Nussbaumer decided to complete a second apprenticeship as a boat builder in 1928. Since then, boats have been manufactured in our shipyard. At first, these were clinker-built wooden rowing boats, later also solid wood and plywood motorboats.

In the 1960s, our father Patriz Nussbaumer was one of the first boat builders in Switzerland to start building plastic boats of his own design. This trend was continued and the model range was constantly expanded and modernized. We currently offer four different boat models. These can be customized and equipped according to customer requirements.

In addition to boat building, we also carry out all service and repair work, offer moorings, and professionally store boats over the winter. One of our shipyard's specialties is repairing and restoring old wooden boats.
