INFOREST GmbH

Since my youth, I have dedicated my life to the forest and nature. I realized early on that I couldn't just sit in an office, but had to be out in nature for my work. So I started training as a forest ranger and graduated from forestry school at the age of 26. From 1990 to 2006, I worked full-time for the canton of Nidwalden as a district forester for the municipalities of Stansstad and Wolfenschiessen. In 2000, I also completed further training as a timber merchant, which gave me an insight into timber marketing.

When I was asked to manage the "Wolfschiessen Protection Forest Project," I took the plunge into self-employment in 2007 and founded my company, InForest GmbH, which specializes in forest management, forestry project and construction management, planting, and roundwood marketing. I have now been managing the protective forest project in Wolfenschiessen (NW) for almost 10 years, which has been extended by the canton until 2025. The forest management concept for the Bürgenstock Resort in Stans (NW) is also one of my long-term projects and is under my management.
