In 2003, I had the privilege of taking over Hansueli Schmid's carpentry business, Schmid Holzbau, which I renamed Brunner Holzbau in 2013 after 10 years.

We were able to specialize in agricultural buildings. However, it was important to us to also be active in the other areas of timber construction so that we would not lose our versatility.

We mainly use the saw for our own needs and for the production of moon wood and quality wood from the Diemtigtal valley.

Moon wood

Moon wood or moon phase wood refers to wood from trees that have been felled in accordance with the forestry lunar calendar.

The use of moon wood in timber construction is not witchcraft. It is an old tradition that is still valid today, but is in danger of being lost in our fast-paced world. It doesn't matter whether you believe in the positive properties of moon wood or not – just try it out and gain experience.
