AARE PHYSIOTHERAPY Emiel van Dorrestein
The practice
Aare Physiotherapy is a bright physiotherapy practice opposite Olten train station. Since opening in 2006, we have been using all our knowledge and skills to help our clients with their problems. At our center, the focus is on the patient as a person. After all, we are treating a human being, not just a diagnosis.
The quality of our work is very important to us, which is why we invest heavily in continuing education every year and work closely with referring physicians.
It is equally important to us to involve our patients in their therapy in order to achieve optimal treatment results and relieve them of their symptoms in the long term.
Of course, our practice is Manual therapy according to Maitland

What is physical therapy?
Physical therapy is an independent discipline in the field of therapy, which together with medicine and nursing forms the three pillars of conventional medicine. It improves quality of life and is aimed at relieving pain and physical dysfunction. Physical therapy is used in therapy, rehabilitation, prevention, and health promotion, as well as in palliative care.
Physiotherapy is aimed at people who have had accidents, people with acute or chronic illnesses, people with disabilities, and healthy people. Physiotherapy services are covered by health insurance if they are prescribed by a doctor.
What happens in a physiotherapy session?
In the first session, the therapist gets a comprehensive picture of the patient's problem. First, a detailed interview is conducted about the symptoms and their progression. This is usually followed by a physical examination (so you may have to take off your pants or shirt during therapy). Based on the findings from the medical history and the examination, the therapist selects the ideal treatment techniques and creates an individual treatment plan, which is reviewed repeatedly during the course of therapy and adjusted if necessary. The treatment itself usually consists of manual treatment techniques and the instruction and implementation of a specific exercise program.
Dry Needling
Dry needling is an effective complement to manual trigger point therapy.
