The Fribourg sailed on Lake Neuchâtel from 1913 to 1965. In 1966, it was taken out of service in Portalban and converted into a restaurant by Mr. Eric Keusen. Its original condition has been preserved.
A mecca for regional cuisine, Le Bateau restaurant offers its customers a romantic and discreet setting in which to enjoy a variety of typical dishes inspired by the lake and surrounding countryside. Its wine cellar is also renowned.
Le St-Louis is the second part of the restaurant, serving daily specials, pizza, and other dishes. You will be welcomed with a friendly smile and enjoy traditional cuisine.
There is also a motel with several rooms located 5 minutes from the lake.
We wish you a warm welcome and a pleasant stay.
