Weinbau Leuengrund - Schneider Weine

Winegrowing has been a tradition in our family for generations. While our ancestors focused more on self-sufficiency, today it is a major source of income for our business. Our farm is located in a 5.5-hectare forest clearing about 1 km above the village center of Pratteln.

 

Until 1993, our parents successfully ran a dairy farm with their own offspring. As our dairy barn was too small and our milk quota too low, the question arose: "Should we invest in dairy farming or viticulture?" They opted for viticulture and switched from dairy farming to extensive suckler cow husbandry.

Opening

Regularly open from the second Saturday in October to mid-February

During the rest of the year, we are available for parties and events.

Monday - Tuesday - Closed

Wednesday 3:00 p.m. - midnight

Thursday - Friday 4:00 p.m. - midnight

Saturday 1:00 p.m. - midnight

Sunday 11:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m.

Our Wystübli is the perfect place to spend a cozy time with family or colleagues. We take care of drinks and food while you relax and enjoy the moment. If you have a request, please fill out the contact form.

The Wystübli is located in a charming wooden building reminiscent of a cozy mountain hut and decorated with old tools from viticulture and winegrowing.

Our culinary highlights include homemade bacon and mountain cheese from Pilatus. Our cheese fondue, served with homemade "Buurebrot" bread, is also very popular. You will find more delicious dishes on our menu.

In the evening from 6:00 p.m., we serve a hot menu according to the chef's preferences. On Sundays from 12:00 p.m., we offer a delicious lunch menu.

For groups of 10 or more, we offer a menu of your choice from our selection upon advance reservation.
