Roberto Roffi - Psychoanalyst and spiritual advisor
“Human beings have an innate propensity for self-actualization” ( I. Yalom, The Gift of Therapy)
My sessions are not reimbursed by health insurance. Psychoanalysis or spiritual counseling are not for sick people. They are for those who seek meaning in life and want to reconcile with their own history. Working on personal growth and inner healing is challenging, but it is an investment that bears fruit in every area of life. Being more aware, in order to live better and feel freer, is priceless.
The first introductory session is free of charge.
The most common symptoms in our society today are often the expression of a deep inner conflict that is taking place within us: stress, dissatisfaction, lack of motivation, sadness, depression, anxiety, panic attacks, excessive anger, phobias, obsessions.
These are the problems and dramas of life, which cannot be solved with medicine—even if at times they are indispensable crutches—but require us to stop and finally take care of ourselves, recognizing what our truest needs are and which wounds need healing.
Dreams are a privileged tool for understanding our inner movements.
Spirituality and religiosity are a great resource for our psychological and mental health.

Education: Candidate for a diploma in Psychoanalysis, C.G. Jung Institute, Zurich (training to be completed in January 2024)
Certificate of Advanced Studies in Palliative Care, SUPSI (2013)

Licentiate in Contemporary History and Political Economy, Fribourg (1995)
Biography: I was born in Lugano in 1969. Following some painful experiences, from my high school years onwards, the question of whether it was really possible to be happy absorbed all my energy. I felt an urgent need to find meaning in life and complete satisfaction in what I was doing.
I studied economics and history, and during my university years I felt the call to become a priest in the Catholic Church. The pastoral ministry was a very intense and rich life experience, but after several years I had to admit that I could not be fully myself in that role.
In 2017, I left the priesthood and the following year I began training at the C.G. Jung Institute in Zurich to become a psychoanalyst. After two years of intense work as a spiritual counselor at the EOC Palliative Care and Support Clinic (2020-2022), I decided to devote myself full-time to my private practice as a psychoanalyst and spiritual counselor. Since February 2022, I have been collaborating with the IMD-International Institute in Lausanne, where I work as a psychoanalyst with young men and women who want to make a significant leap forward in their professional careers by attending an MBA in Management.
