We are in a business where you have to think very long term: our roofs and waterproofing last half a lifetime. The expertise for this has been passed down from generation to generation in our company. For over 80 years.

Now, with the founding of A+B Flachdach AG in Basel, Jürg Alt's son, Andreas Alt, is continuing the tradition of Asphalt + Baumaterial AG, founded in 1924, in its third generation and currently employs 25 people.

• BITUMINOUS WATERPROOFING

Application: Flat roofs, terraces, basements, parking garages, groundwater waterproofing, bridge decks, sewer covers, flat roof greening.
Material: Polymer bitumen waterproofing membranes, bonded or welded, usually two-layer.

• THERMAL INSULATION

Application: Flat roofs, terraces, basements, floors
Material: Various materials such as polyurethane, polystyrene, rock wool, or sight glass in various thicknesses, designs such as sloped roofs.

• FLOOR COVERINGS FOR TERRACES

Application: Terraces, flat roofs, walkways, pergolas, canopies, entrances
Material: Cement slabs on gravel or pedestal supports, in various surface structures, colors, and dimensions. Cement or rubber granulate composite stones on gravel. Drainage and protective layers made of gravel, fleece, or rubber mats, cement fiber boards.

• FLAT ROOF GREENING / GRAVELING

Application: Extensive and intensive greening for flat roofs, terraces, basement and parking garage ceilings.
Material: As protective and weighting coverings on our waterproofing. Substrates, seeding, and gravel coverings in various designs. Root protection and storage films, protective fleece.

• PLUMBING

Application: For all waterproofing systems, as fastening, waterproof finish, or protective cover.
Material: Angle iron, cover strips, trims, or crowns with all accessories such as drains, vent pipes, edging, gutters, and expansion joints. Putty joints in various designs.

• PLASTIC WATERPROOFING

Application: Flat roofs, terraces, pond waterproofing, flat roof greening.
Material: Various plastic products in various thicknesses, joints thermally or chemically welded, usually single-layer.

• MASTIC ASPHALT COATINGS

Use: Flat roofs, terraces, parking garages, basement floors, sidewalk coverings, bridge waterproofing.
Material: Various thicknesses and degrees of hardness, coatings.
