The company was founded in 1960 by Bruno Pfammatter, then known as "Bruno Pfammatter," with its headquarters in Termen. The sole proprietorship carried out various small painting and plastering jobs. The company steadily grew in size. In 1994, Romeo Pfammatter, the son of the company founder, took over the company as a sole proprietorship with six employees in the second generation. In 2003, Romeo Pfammatter built a new workshop in the industrial zone in Ried-Brig and moved the depot from Termen to Ried-Brig.

The company then had 15 employees. In 2005, Romeo Pfammatter converted the sole proprietorship into a public limited company called "Romeo Pfammatter AG." That year, the company had 19 employees. In 2006, Romeo's son Janis Pfammatter also joined the company and completed his additional apprenticeship as a painter and plasterer, becoming the third generation to do so. Romeo and Janis, as well as various employees, repeatedly completed further training and specializations in various areas, e.g., mold treatment, acoustic ceilings, fire protection, and much more. Today, with 31 employees, the company is an established painting and plastering business with a wealth of expertise in Valais and many specializations in various fields. In 2022, the company was handed over to Janis Pfammatter, who now runs the business. Romeo is gradually stepping back and enjoying his well-deserved retirement.
