wielandleben means living with Wielands: We, Thom and Salome, are a cheerful and dynamic couple, full of ideas for our fellow human beings. We enjoy spending time with our little daughter Lilou every day. We currently support three people with different disabilities and needs in assisted living (permanent placements). On weekdays, we are also joined by men and women with disabilities who participate in the assisted day care program. Together, we master everyday life. In addition to the sometimes hectic times, we also enjoy the quiet moments together. Everyone has their own tasks and chores, which we assign—whenever possible—taking personal preferences into account so that everyone can do what suits their abilities and wishes.

On the other hand, we open our doors to visitors and guests with our range of services from aperitifs to bed and breakfast. Anyone exploring the Emmental on foot or by bike who gets tired in the evening can rest with us and explore the surrounding area. Freshly rested after a quiet night and fortified by a hearty breakfast, the journey can continue.

wielandleben means country life: we live here on a beautiful, cozy, and homely biodynamic farm. Here we can enjoy a wonderful view that stretches from the Jura Chasseral to the Lüderenalp and the Napf. A dream. It invites you to enjoy and relax. We really enjoy the work we do here because we love being out in the fresh air. This is where we want to realize our projects and our dreams. This includes keeping small animals such as chickens, ducks, peacocks, rabbits, turkeys, bees, goats, and sheep, as well as larger livestock such as calves, cattle, and cows. This provides us with fresh milk and eggs every day, which we enjoy and process with great pleasure. The farmland is used to produce ancient spelt, emmer, and lentils, which we use ourselves and enjoy in the form of fresh, home-baked bread and pasta made from these grains. This includes two large gardens, a large plantation, a large field of potatoes, and the nearby forest, which provide us with fresh produce. Fresh carrots, onions, lettuce, and cabbage grow in the garden, while wild garlic, elderberries, and wild mint grow in the nearby forest. The resulting rich variety of products, ranging from pasta to flour and sausages to schnapps and liqueurs, is freshly produced on site in our production room and sold in our farm shop. All products come from our own farm and are produced and refined to organic quality standards.
