A gravestone is more than just a place for a name, date of birth, and date of death...
...As the "keystone" at the end of a life, the gravestone marks the end of a shared journey and the starting point for a new chapter.
GRAVESTONES:
Polished stones
As a passionate stonemason and sculptor, I create lasting works for my customers. The long process of working with stone involves a wide variety of grinding stages, right through to polishing, which gives me many design options...
Rocks / Rough-hewn stones
Rocks are the first stage in the processing of stone. Here, too, various processing techniques and tools are used to create a rock according to your wishes...
Handcrafted stones
The following stages are necessary to obtain a smooth surface. Pointing, one of the oldest techniques in stoneworking, creates indentations that are clearly visible...
RECYCLED STONES:
We turn old into new
A gravestone does not remain in the cemetery forever. What happens to these gravestones afterwards?
In rare cases, the bereaved take these gravestones home with them or have them reworked by a sculptor (e.g., into a birdbath). In most cases, however, these gravestones are simply crushed and end up, for example, as ballast under newly built roads.
For the sake of the environment, we have set ourselves the goal of reworking old gravestones so that they can be used a second time. Either the gravestones are completely sanded down and given new designs, or, if desired, some of the old designs can be refurbished. After our conversion, these gravestones look like new. You won't notice that these gravestones once stood in a cemetery.
You too can help protect the environment by asking us about our recycled stones.
MISCELLANEOUS:
Thanks to our many years of experience, we are able to carry out all kinds of work in stone that is not used for gravestones. Based on your designs, we work together to create works of art for your home, garden, company signs, or as a very special, personal gift.
