In 2020, Sägerei Bucher AG took an innovative step into the future. We have built a wood-fired power plant. The waste wood from the plant, approx. 3,700 cubic meters of wood chips, is converted into electricity and heat. Part of the approximately one million kilowatt hours (kWh) of electricity is used for our own needs, and the rest is fed into the power grid. The additional approx. two million kWh of heat generated is used to operate the drying chamber.

We are a well-equipped sawmill and specialize in cutting spruce and fir wood as our core business. In addition, cutting wood for customers is another mainstay of the business. Our sawmill is flexible enough to respond to your wishes. Thanks to our excellent infrastructure, we are able to process and deliver orders at short notice and on time.
