- Psychological care and support; in Chinese medicine, body and soul are one
Traditional Chinese medicine is several thousand years old. The diagnostic and treatment techniques of Chinese medicine are based on traditions. Complaints, illnesses, and therapies were collected, later written down, and integrated into a philosophical model of thinking.
According to this philosophy, the human organism is represented as a whole, namely as an inseparable unity of body, soul, and spirit.
Treatment with TCM is based on all three aspects and is therefore understood as a holistic therapy system.
In our part of the world, TCM belongs to the field of complementary medicine and, as the name suggests, offers us an additional treatment option to conventional Western medicine.
The focus is always on the patient
As a certified physiotherapist, my basic knowledge lies in Western medicine. I then went on to study Chinese medicine.
Since 1993, I have been working with a wide variety of patients and diagnoses in various fields.
In my practice as a naturopathic practitioner of TCM, I therefore always try to establish a connection between conventional medicine and TCM, as well as to intensify cooperation with conventional medical practitioners.
Acupuncture
The human body consists of a meridian system on which acupuncture points are located. These acupuncture points are pricked with fine needles.
TuinaAnmo
TuinaAnmo massage is a mixture of ancient Chinese healing massage, acupressure, and chiropractic, which has been practiced in China for more than 3,000 years. It is similar to techniques used in physiotherapy.
Moxa
The moxa plant (mugwort) is used to heat certain acupuncture points, creating lasting warmth.
Cupping
Cupping glasses and a vacuum are used to stimulate blood circulation and/or remove pathogenic factors from the body.
Gua Sha
Consists of repeated scraping of oiled skin with a rounded edge. A jade scraper, metal lid, or Chinese porcelain soup spoon is usually used. This increases blood circulation in the skin and also removes pathogenic factors.
Herbal therapy
These are substances tested by Swiss Medic that are taken internally or applied externally in the form of ointments.
Chinese nutritional science
Nutrition according to the 5 elements means applying TCM to our usual Western diet and is also an important part of holistic therapy.

Colds, sore throats, flu-like infections, bronchitis, bladder infections, sinusitis, arthritis, gout, etc.
