The Upper Engadine Healthcare Foundation (SGO) aims to ensure long-term, needs-based, sustainable, and cost-effective healthcare by providing and coordinating medical, nursing, and other healthcare services in both outpatient and inpatient settings. The SGO provides its services primarily to the Upper Engadine and neighboring regions.

Integrated care is to be established as a local service for the population of the Upper Engadine, with a focus on geriatric medicine, as "care under one roof." The service covers the entire treatment pathway from acute inpatient and rehabilitation services to long-term care. Patients are accompanied throughout the entire treatment pathway. At each stage of treatment, an assessment is made as to when the patient can be discharged and what type of follow-up treatment should be provided. Across the various departments and specialist areas, we do everything we can to ensure that our patients can return to their familiar surroundings as quickly and comfortably as possible and resume their individual daily routines. The interdisciplinary teams consist of hospital specialists, consultants, and affiliated physicians. The care team is completed by nursing staff, therapists, and specialists in the fields of social, nutritional, diabetes, and wound care.
