Métraux Transports SA

Founded in 1958 by Robert Métraux, Métraux Transports began its journey with the purchase of its first truck dedicated to construction sites. Initially based in the heart of Savigny, the company, which already had five vehicles in 1963, quickly specialized in timber transport.

Over the years, Métraux Transports expanded its field of activity to include construction site transport, long timber transport, dump trucks, and road trucks. To accommodate the constant growth of its fleet, the company moved to Chemin du Publoz in La Claie-aux-Moines in 1982.

This growth continued, with around 30 trucks in service in 1988 and more than 50 in 2008, marking the company's 50th anniversary. In 1990, a partnership with Gravière de la Claie-aux-Moines strengthened the concrete transport business, which now has 14 vehicles dedicated to this service.

In 2008, Métraux Transports took a significant step forward by building a new, modern depot equipped for the maintenance of its vehicle fleet. The merger with Granchamp Services SA in 2015 was followed, in July 2023, by the expansion of activities with the addition of Chevalley Transports Chernex.

Métraux Transports currently operates in a variety of sectors, ranging from the transport of concrete and construction materials to snow clearance, skip services, and waste collection. This trajectory underscores the company's commitment and steady growth since its inception in 1958.

Métraux Transports SA is currently active in many transport sectors: mixers, concrete and construction materials, skip services, crane trucks, road maintenance, log transport, road haulage, school buses, and winter services. Our fleet now comprises around 60 vehicles and consists of:
