Founded in 2014 by Wendy Pichard, Refuge La Bouche qui rit is a non-profit association located in Saxon, Valais. Its mission is to save farm animals from maltreatment or slaughter. Having rescued over 500 animals in its first five years, the sanctuary provides a safe haven where animals such as horses, cows, pigs, and goats can regain trust in humans. The farm acts as a 'Noah's Ark', rehoming some animals to new families while others live out their days at the refuge.
