Kiley - Alp Steinboden

The Kiley farm has been in operation for many years. The farm is located in Schwenden in the beautiful Diemtigtal valley in the Bernese Oberland at 1365m above sea level. Our farm (which operates all year round) includes the Steinboden alp, 2 km above Kiley. The first generation of the Freiburghaus family leased the farm. Since 2004, the farm has been owned by the new generation of the Freiburghaus family. The discontinuation of livestock farming in January 2019 has created space for new ideas. Our farm has a horse-friendly open stable with a large outdoor area. The horses have direct access to the extensive alpine pastures. Our horses are also allowed out to graze every day in winter.
Since 2015, we have been summering other people's horses on our alpine pasture.
