ACTIVITIES

We specialize in importing and distributing equipment for planting and maintaining crops, agricultural, horticultural, arboricultural, and viticultural. The machines come from 10 different countries. We import 16 different brands, each with an extensive and well-developed product range.

Most of our suppliers are independent manufacturers with whom we have privileged and direct relationships. This is a great asset in terms of responsiveness, allowing us to adapt to the market according to demand and fluctuations, which have been evolving rapidly in recent years.

TARGET CUSTOMERS

Our largest customer base is commercial agriculture, including field crops, cereals, corn, beets, and potatoes. The livestock, wine, and arboriculture sectors also play an important role.

The green space, municipal, landscaping, and golf course sectors represent a small part of our business.

CROP PROTECTION

Thanks to its history and the knowledge it has acquired over the years, the company has established a strong position in the field of crop spraying technology, including personalized advice for any farmers who request it.

IT

Technological expertise in IT, especially in sprayers, fertilizer spreaders, and seeders, is also an asset in sales and maintenance of increasingly high-tech, electronically managed machines. Since 2017, we have been organizing training and advanced courses in this field, in French and German.

MECHANICAL CROP MAINTENANCE

Historically, the team that founded Alphatec had extensive knowledge of crop weeding acquired from HARUWY, a company renowned for its versatile machines. As these techniques account for a large share of the current market in Switzerland, we can easily support farmers in this process by offering our agronomic expertise and a wide range of innovative machines. Whether for grassland, traditional crops, organic crops, or perennial crops, we always have one or more solutions.

DIRECT AND SIMPLIFIED SOWING

Another of the company's passions is undoubtedly direct seeding, a technology that saves farmers time and money. This technology is not yet well known or mastered by many agricultural equipment manufacturers.

The major equipment manufacturers in Europe offer very little of this equipment because sales of spare parts are declining (less wear and tear) and horsepower is also falling significantly (fewer tractors). We are convinced that the future lies in this simplification of work.

Currently, after more than 24 years of sales, we are seeing the effects of this in Switzerland, but still little in neighboring countries, which are facing problems of soil degradation due to monoculture production systems. This technique is used on a large scale across the American continent, from north to south.
