BREATHING THERAPY
Breathing is a vital bodily function. Breathing control is an extremely complex regulatory mechanism and depends on many factors.
Breathing not only influences all bodily functions, it also plays a central role in emotions, physical expression, and vocal and communication behavior. The number of breaths taken depends on a person's state of health. This means that a well-trained person can reduce the number of breaths they take, while poor general health or emotional agitation increases the number of breaths.
Dynamic and flexible breathing supports physical balance and well-being. Balanced breathing is reflected in vitality, expressiveness, mobility, physical posture, and the sound of the voice.
Each inhalation and exhalation creates a movement in the body that spreads throughout the entire body in waves. Breathing treatments sense the breathing movements and tensions in the body's tissues. The goal is to restore the natural dynamics of healthy breathing. The treatments are performed over clothing or directly on the skin, as is the case with a breathing massage. The therapy is accompanied by instruction in appropriate breathing exercises that support the process of harmonizing breathing.
CRANIOSACRAL OSTEOPATHY
The body is a functional unit. Craniosacral osteopathy is based on the assumption that the rhythmic pulsations of the cerebrospinal fluid (liquor) are transmitted to the external tissues and bones and can be felt throughout the body in the form of a subtle movement. This movement is also referred to as primary respiration. It influences the craniosacral system, which includes the meninges, the individual skull bones, the spine, the sacrum, the connective tissue, and the nervous system of the body. All of these structures have a close functional connection to the musculoskeletal system, respiration, and the central and peripheral nervous, vascular, hormonal, and organ systems.
The treatment focuses on the craniosacral system and its independent rhythm. Blockages are detected and restrictions in the system's mobility are localized. The treatment restores the physiological function of the structures using gentle and specific mobilizations. The treatment improves energy flow and supports the body's self-healing powers.
