ÉPA - école spécialisée et internat

The ÉPA, originally known as the École Protestante d'Altitude (Protestant High Altitude School), was founded in St-Cergue in 1954 on the initiative of Geneva pastor Raynald MARTIN. This visionary man also founded the Centre Social Protestant (Protestant Social Center) and La Main Tendue (Helping Hand).

The ÉPA is a non-profit association and welcomes 48 students aged 6 to 15, as boarders or day students, regardless of their origin or religion. The young people referred to the school are experiencing academic, behavioral, or even family difficulties. Their development is temporarily hampered by a lack of interest in learning and a lack of self-confidence.

The EPA's mission is to support students in their progress, help them overcome their difficulties, and give them a new impetus to succeed in their schooling. The EPA's adapted teaching and caring pedagogy promote the development of the physical, emotional, intellectual, and creative abilities of the children and young people entrusted to it, with a view to their fulfillment and integration.

Academic failure is not inevitable! ÉPA works to help students in difficulty regain their self-esteem, the respect of others, and the desire to learn.
