Société des Forces Electriques de La Goule

The Société des Forces Electriques de La Goule supplies electricity to around 8,000 customers representing a population of some 12,000 inhabitants spread across the St-Imier valley, the Franches-Montagnes and Les Brenets. To this end, it generates part of this electricity at its power plant in La Goule on the Doubs river and purchases the rest from BKW Energie SA. It maintains an extensive distribution network comprising nearly 700 km of power lines.

La Goule participates and collaborates in the operation and maintenance of renewable energy production centers.

In addition to all services related to the production, distribution, and sale of electricity, La Goule promotes the rational and economical consumption of electricity through targeted advice and expertise.

La Goule's activities are divided into six main divisions

Energy sales
Customer service, purchasing, sales, metering, and billing of energy.

Production
Operation of the La Goule hydroelectric power plant on the Doubs River.
Management of La Goule's holdings in other production companies (Juvent, Le Châtelot, etc.)

Distribution
Development, operation, and maintenance of the electricity network.
Technical services for third parties.

Inspection of installations
Inspection of electrical installations in accordance with federal regulations (OIBT).
Supply quality inspection (measurements and expert assessments).

Buildings
Management and administration of rental properties owned by the company.

Administration
Finance, internal services, and general administration.

Société des Forces Electriques de La Goule participates in the BKW Group's strategy by offering comprehensive photovoltaic power plant solutions throughout the Jura region.
