Reisebüro Zeilinger AG was founded in November 1977 by Else and Alfred Zeilinger as the first independent travel agency between Rapperswil and Zurich. At that time, there were no fax machines, let alone cell phones. Connections to the wider world were made via landline telephones or telex. Our office was one of the first to get a computer and was directly connected to the Swissair reservation system. At that time, flight prices were still calculated by hand.

There was usually one charter flight per week to Mediterranean destinations, and scheduled flights to European cities and overseas were not offered daily. Special fares in economy class cost almost as much then as business class fares do today. What a change!

The digital age is also challenging us and our industry. This is what motivates us to improve our service and commitment every day. We don't claim to be as good as the internet; we want to be better!
