• When lightning strikes a building, surges of up to several 100 kV can occur. Every year, 200,000 lightning strikes hit Switzerland, causing millions of dollars in damage to buildings. Lightning protection systems do not prevent strikes, but they do protect buildings, residents, and the electrical equipment and controls inside them from damage. As certified lightning protection experts, we have the necessary know-how to advise you and inspect your system.

• In solar power generation, solar radiation is converted into electrical energy by means of solar cells. At the heart of every solar cell is a semiconductor, usually silicon. When certain semiconductor layers are arranged on top of each other, free positive and negative charges are created under the influence of light (photons). These are separated by an electric field and can flow away as electrons via an electrical conductor. The direct current generated in this way can be used directly to operate your electrical devices or stored in batteries. It can also be converted into alternating current and fed into the public power grid. Whether you are considering an in-roof or on-roof system, we would be happy to advise you on your project.
