About us
Sonia and Mario have been teaching in Switzerland since 2008 and together bring with them a rich history of tango from Argentina.
MARIO Labrunie was born in Buenos Aires in 1978 and began learning tango at the age of 17. Before moving to Thun in 2017, he taught at famous tango schools such as Mayoral and Elsa Maria, danced in various theaters, at the famous Caminito, on TV programs, cruise ships, and at official events. Over more than 20 years, he has acquired a deep knowledge of body awareness, basic elements, techniques, and movement sequences. His teaching style is based on helping students experience and feel the movements in their own bodies. He manages to find the right individual approach for each person who wants to learn tango.
SONIA Labrunie (originally a primary school teacher) fell in love with tango in Buenos Aires in 2006, where she took intensive courses and private lessons and began to study tango. Two years later, she and Mario founded their own TANGOSCHULE. They teach daily in Thun and Bern and perform throughout Switzerland.
Their lessons are characterized by a very comfortable, didactically versatile, and friendly atmosphere, which ensures that you always go home with a smile and that learning tango is simply a joy. "For Sonia, tango is a direct path to herself."
The focus is on creating a technically demanding yet accessible style of Argentine tango that aims to develop good communication within the dance couple through elegant yet comfortable movements.

Mario and Sonia are amazing teachers, they teach almost everything on tango dance, the milongas are amazing with an excellent ambience, and family friendly!
