The company was founded in 1973 by Josef Schönenberger. Over the next few years, Josef Schönenberger steadily expanded the company.
In 2001,
Schönenberger & Partner AG was
founded . From that point on, Josef Schönenberger and Alex Niedermann were equal partners and the future of the company was secured.
Alex Niedermann completed his apprenticeship as a plumber in 1988 at Josef Schönenberger. After additional training as a plumbing draughtsman at an engineering firm and several years of traveling, Alex Niedermann returned. After successfully completing his master's examination as a certified building services engineer, Alex Niedermann joined the newly founded AG.
In 2008, Alex Niedermann took over the entire company. Since then, Alex Niedermann has been running Schönenberger & Partner AG together with his wife Saskia Niedermann.
