Our municipality has few mountain views and no observation tower. However, we more than make up for these shortcomings with a magnificent natural landscape, a livable environment, and an active, diverse community life.

Turbenthal is one of the largest municipalities in the canton of Zurich in terms of area. Of the 2,500 hectares, over 57% is covered by forest – almost twice the Swiss average. Whether it's a natural playground for children, a training ground for joggers, bikers, and cross-country skiers, or a secluded spot for quiet connoisseurs, the unspoiled nature in our community has something for everyone.

Those who prefer to spend their free time with like-minded people will find a wide range of activities in Turbenthal. Around 60 dedicated clubs offer opportunities to get involved in music, charity work, or sports. Turbenthal also has a lot to offer culturally, with regular cinema screenings, children's theater, readings, concerts, and performances by artists and comedians – some of which take place in wonderful historic buildings.

Due to its location, Turbenthal has always played a central role in the middle Tösstal valley. This also explains the wide range of shops and businesses in our village. All your everyday needs can be met within walking distance.
