On April 1, 1970, Andreas and Franz von Bergen took over two Scania-Vabis trucks, including Peter Stähli-Huggler's customer base, and founded their own company under the name Gebrüder Andreas und Franz von Bergen, Autotransporte.

At that time, the company mainly transported round timber and sawn timber and carried out tipper work.

The company made ongoing investments and developed in line with demand. When the opportunity arose in 1983 to expand into the construction sector by taking over the building materials business of Peter Schild, Brienzwiler, they seized this opportunity and expanded this area more and more.

In 1992, the company Gebrüder Andreas und Franz von Bergen was converted into the public limited company von Bergen Transporte AG on the one hand and the collective partnership Gebrüder von Bergen, which trades in animal feed and building materials, on the other. Since then, the company has continued to expand.

On January 1, 2011, the business was handed over to Rolf, André, and Bruno von Bergen. From this date, the Gebrüder von Bergen collective partnership was also integrated into von Bergen Transporte AG.

Von Bergen Transporte AG will continue to respond dynamically to demand and economic considerations in the future. In particular, we are committed to meeting ecological and increased environmental requirements and to demonstrating innovation in the above-mentioned business areas.
