Schulthess Kerzenhandwerk has been producing handmade candles in Switzerland since 1978.
Fragrances and colors are our passion. We invest a lot of time and love in selecting and manufacturing our products.

Schulthess Kerzenhandwerk began production in a small, idyllic cowshed near Bern. Using ordinary hotplates and pans, Theo Schulthess began melting wax and then pouring it into molds.
Today, Schulthess Kerzenhandwerk in Utzenstorf employs six people and is run by two generations of the Schulthess family, Theo Schulthess and his daughter Leonie Schulthess.
As was the case 40 years ago, all candles are still handmade in Switzerland, now with a professional infrastructure and optimized production processes.

Schulthess Kerzenhandwerk attaches great importance to high-quality raw materials. The scents and colors are carefully selected and based on current trends and customer needs.
While production was initially based on unscented pillar candles, it became increasingly clear over time that international competition in this area was too strong for such a small company. So Theo Schulthess began to look for new avenues. Scented candles as normal pillar candles rather than poured into glasses were to become the company's new mainstay. Since then, we have been working twice a year on further developing our range. We tinker with new fragrance names and blends. We discard them again and again until, after a long development period, we hold the final product in our hands. Scented candles are our passion. Three years ago, we were able to launch a new and fragrant range of scented candles made from 100% natural essences in collaboration with several of our fragrance oil suppliers. This new line was a great success right from the start. And with a great deal of dedication and care, this range of 100% natural oils is also expanded twice a year.
