Atelier d'Architecture Chevrier Sàrl

Atelier d’Architecture Chevrier Sàrl is an architecture firm based in Vex, in central Valais. The studio is mainly active in the Sion and Val d’Hérens region, as well as throughout the canton of Valais.

Led by Jean-Yves Chevrier, an architect with over twenty years of experience, the studio develops a practice that is attentive to the location, existing buildings, the program, and contemporary uses. Each project is approached as a specific response, resulting from a dialogue between the client, the site, and the technical, regulatory, and contextual constraints of the project.

The studio is involved in new construction as well as renovation, conversion, and extension of existing buildings. Particular attention is paid to architectural quality, materiality, integration into the existing context, and the sustainability of the proposed solutions.

The studio's areas of activity include surveys and analysis of existing buildings, individual and collective housing, renovation, conversion and extension of buildings, conservation and enhancement of heritage, energy optimization and work on the building envelope, as well as feasibility and implementation studies.

Standard services are provided in accordance with SIA 102 and cover all phases of the project, from project studies and architectural development to construction management. They include the preparation of building permit applications, the organization of calls for tenders and the comparison of contractors, the preparation of construction plans, the coordination of agents, and architectural and construction management.

The studio works with a network of specialized partners, including engineers, building physicists, and energy and safety specialists, to ensure a comprehensive, consistent, and controlled approach to the project, from design to completion.
