Lourejoints SA

Everyone knows the name LOUREJOINTS: vehicles bearing the company logo can be seen on the roads of the District of Sierre and the Canton.

 

This company, a true family-run SME, was born out of the determination, audacity, and tenacity of one man: Armando De Loureiro. While still working as an employee in a company in the Vaud region, Armando De Loureiro specialized in all areas of waterproofing. Noticing that he was frequently traveling to work on construction sites in Valais, Armando De Loureiro quickly realized that this type of business was in high demand and lacking in the French-speaking part of Valais.

 

In 1990, he took the initiative to set up his own sole proprietorship: "Lourejoints" was born. In the beginning, it specialized in the installation of waterproofing joints. As is often the case in this type of venture, Armando De Loureiro benefited from the support and assistance of his wife Micaela. While Armando handled customer contacts, prepared estimates, and then carried out the work, Micaela took care of administration, accounting, and answering the phone.

 

 

The company quickly took root in the economic fabric of Sierre. Within a few years, it had grown so much that by 1995 it already had four external employees. In the midst of its growth, the company had to change address, moving to the municipality of Veyras, where it found premises suited to its needs. Armando De Loureiro gradually developed other areas related to waterproofing, namely concrete remediation, road jointing, injections, fireproof joints, roof and terrace waterproofing, and industrial flooring installation.

 

In 1998, seeing that their business was growing, Armando and Micaela De Loureiro decided to transform their sole proprietorship into a corporation.

 

 

 

Lourejoints SA, a public limited company based in Veyras, was born. From the outset, Micaela De Loureiro has served as chair of the board of directors alongside Ms. Nathalie Bonvin. Armando De Loureiro serves as the company's director.

 

Despite persistent health problems, Armando De Loureiro tirelessly continued to develop his company. Realizing once again that the premises and workshops were too cramped and that he needed space to store equipment, Armando De Loureiro proposed moving the workshops again to the Îles Falcons industrial zone in Sierre, with the administration and secretarial offices remaining in Veyras.

 

 

 

A true entrepreneur, Armando De Loureiro was committed to continually conquering new markets. He expanded his company's activities not only in the Sierre region, but throughout the canton of Valais and, increasingly, outside the canton.

 

In 2010, after 20 years in business, Lourejoints SA had around 15 employees in the field. Armando De Loureiro was responsible for managing construction sites and customer relations. Micaela remained loyal to the company and was in charge of administration and accounting. Today, Lourejoints SA continues to grow harmoniously in Valais and the surrounding regions.

 

Lourejoints SA is a young, dynamic SME, the result of the enthusiasm and commitment of its owners, Armando and Micaela De Loureiro.
