COMPANY

My name is Alberto Giacometti, I am married to Isabella, and we have three children.

I was born on February 12, 1974, and after completing compulsory schooling in Bregaglia, I moved to Chur to complete an apprenticeship as a painter.

In 1993, I returned to Bregaglia to work in my father Renato's business.

During this time, I regularly attended further education and training courses. Between 1999 and 2001, I moved to Zurich to attend the master painter school and take the subsequent federal examination.

In 2004, I took over my father's painting business.
Renato Giacometti founded it in 1964, and seven years later the workshop in Vicosoprano was built, which was expanded in 1999.

Together with two employees and an apprentice, we carry out professional painting work. Our goal is the complete satisfaction of our customers.

We operate in Bregaglia and the Upper Engadine and are members of the Swiss Painters and Plasterers Association (SMGV).

 

PHILOSOPHY

We strive to fulfill our customers' wishes by advising them and supporting them in their decisions.

The type of building and location, the existing materials, and the effects of weather and wear and tear are factors that we evaluate individually and selectively.

We strive to renovate or decorate a room or facade according to the needs of its occupants. To this end, we use the appropriate materials and techniques.

The company owner is constantly informed about the work in progress and tries to be present during the execution.

Training, perseverance, and an interest in lost or innovative techniques are integral parts of our company philosophy.

It is with great joy and enthusiasm that we present to you a company, an ideology, a rediscovered world that can still excite and amaze, despite the countless possibilities that an apparently saturated market can otherwise offer.

Kt. Color the color manufacturer

is a company based in Uster that has rediscovered the beauty and color intensity of organic and inorganic natural pigments. These are combined with either modern or century-old binding agents.

The unique luminosity and incredible depth of these colors are only achieved thanks to the use of 120 different pigments. In comparison, the conventional paint industry uses around 30 different pigments to manufacture paints.

We attend annual courses on site to benefit from the full range of materials and colors. We now have a wide, handmade sample collection consisting of 225 different shades.
