In 1980, lawyer and notary public Matthias Gmünder founded the Gmünder law firm at Bahnhofstrasse 7 in 9630 Wattwil.

After more than 35 years of successful work as a lawyer and notary public, Matthias Gmünder handed over the management of the law firm to his colleague Daniel Frischknecht (lawyer and notary public) in 2015, who had been working at the firm since March 2012.
