In 2009, the craft business Thomas Gmür celebrates its 20th anniversary. After completing his apprenticeship, the trained tiler worked in his profession for more than seven years before setting up his own business. He successfully completed master craftsman training. The experienced specialist, his eight skilled employees, and two apprentices can look back on some challenging but fruitful years.

The craft business professionally and punctually installs ceramic wall and floor tiles, natural stone and clay floors, or handmade tiles on request. The company installs flooring and wall tiles in both new buildings and renovations. Ceramic and natural stone floors have the advantage that, unlike carpets, they are significantly more hygienic and easier to care for, and their durability is almost unlimited. In older properties, it is even possible to integrate underfloor heating with a simple installation. Cold feet are a thing of the past. Of course, laying floors is just as much a specialty of the Gmür team as installing tiles on walls in wet rooms and kitchens. Any repair work on older floors and walls, as well as putty joints, is carried out promptly and competently.

The team-based company demonstrates a high degree of flexibility and excellent team spirit. This is demonstrated, among other things, by the fact that the first employee still works with Thomas Gmür. Because the type and composition of floor and wall coverings can be compared to changing fashions, the master tiler uses all his experience to fulfill every customer's wishes with creative ideas. That's why he regularly attends training courses organized by the Association of Swiss Master Tile Setters. He also carries out renovations, such as kitchen and bathroom refurbishments, on his own.
