Welcome to Tanzatelier W59 :-) I have been teaching at W59 for 30 years and am still an enthusiastic dancer, happy to pass on my passion for dancing to my students.
My motto: YOU HAVE TO DANCE THROUGH LIFE :-)
A to F = Beginners to advanced, whether 13 or over 50, everyone is welcome.
In all lessons, young women and older women dance together, from beginners to advanced, which creates a great atmosphere.
Lessons
In my lessons, I place great emphasis on body awareness combined with spiral dynamics and dance elements from classical ballet, modern dance, and jazz dance. Creative dance, improvisation, and teaching a good ear for music are also part of the lessons. Of course, the most important thing is to have fun dancing, and personal attention is also very important to me. Girls, boys, women, and men dance in the studio. The minimum age is 12, and there is no upper age limit.

Modern jazz dance / contemporary
Modern jazz dance involves soft and flowing movements as well as fast and rhythmic movements and is danced to almost all styles of music. Elements from hip-hop and musicals, as well as Afro and modern dance, can be incorporated into the choreography. Despite the necessary techniques from ballet and jazz dance, modern jazz dance leaves plenty of room for personal expression. The dance techniques have developed in many different ways. Principles from which techniques can be derived, such as inhalation and exhalation, contraction and release, the principle of gravity, fall and recovery, and the principle of balance, characterize modern jazz dance.
Contemporary dance is the English term for contemporary dance, which is understood as a collective term for the choreographic art of stage dance. This type of dance makes use of modern dance techniques, but cannot be forced into any particular form, as it is open to new trends in dance and music and is therefore wild, new, young, sensual, and changeable.
Classical & Modern Ballet
Using the technique of spiral dynamics, classical ballet and modern ballet focus primarily on good posture and good mobility of the whole body. Ballet is particularly helpful for back problems, as strong muscles provide support and relief. Ballet promotes mind and body and is a perfect dance foundation for everyone. From technique to strength, everything is packed into one lesson, rounded off with choreography from modern dance/contemporary. Anyone can learn ballet, and whether you are a beginner or advanced, I have the time and patience to teach ballet to each individual.
Pointe
Pointe work is what makes ballet special. The strength and control required to carry and balance your own body weight is a fine art. In this course, you will learn the basics of pointe work. Don't worry about damaging your feet—that won't happen in such a short lesson. On the contrary, your feet will become stronger.
