With in-office bleaching, teeth can be whitened at the dentist's office. The bleaching agent (hydrogen peroxide) is activated with LED light and destroys the pigments in the uppermost layer of the tooth in an oxidation process.

Please note: ceramic fillings, crowns, and plastic fillings are not bleached.
