We offer professional and competent advice on everything related to "better hearing." In addition to expert hearing aid fittings, we offer a wide range of other services.

The path to better hearing

The initial consultation forms the basis for hearing aid provision. After a brief medical history, we will inform you about the different designs and technologies of today's modern hearing aids. Together, we will find the device that best suits your personal profile.

The next step is a precise hearing assessment in a soundproof audiometry room. After a brief look into the ear with a video otoscope, each ear is tested separately. Even with minimal impairment of hearing, speech comprehension can be assessed using a standardized speech test. Comprehensibility in noise and noise sensitivity provide further important data for presetting your hearing system.

An important step on the way to a perfectly fitted hearing aid is a personal consultation. We analyze your hearing experiences with you. Using various technical devices, the fitting is adjusted until, after several sessions, the hearing system meets your requirements.

We work closely with local ear specialists and are happy to provide you with straightforward support in applying for insurance benefits.

Service & repairs

We are also there for you after your hearing aid has been fitted.

Follow-up checks of your hearing system and free cleaning of the devices are just as much a part of our services as repairs of all hearing aids—including third-party devices.

We are also happy to lend you replacement devices or, in an emergency, provide holiday devices.

Hearing aid designs

The right device for every type of hearing loss

Hearing aids are often invisible – that's because they are so tiny.

We describe the sense of hearing as a miracle of nature. Hearing aids, on the other hand, are masterpieces of technology. They have never been as reliable, powerful, energy-efficient, and easy to use as they are today.

It is thanks to microelectronics that in-ear hearing aids fit comfortably in the ear canal or ear. This is exactly where they need to be, because this is where sound enters the ear and is converted, amplified, and processed by the hearing aids. The second group consists of behind-the-ear hearing aids, which are worn discreetly behind the ears.

Behind-the-ear (BTE) devices

Behind-the-ear hearing systems have a custom-fit earpiece that directs sound into the ear. BTE systems can be adjusted for moderate to severe hearing loss. There are also so-called power hearing aids for customers with residual hearing, which come with various accessories.

BTE systems can be easier to use and the battery has a longer life than in ITE devices. BTE devices are also less prone to repair than ITE solutions.

These devices are often chosen for people who have had ear surgery or for children, as only the earpiece needs to be replaced during the growth phase, rather than the entire device.

With the same earpiece, different BTE devices and technologies (digital, fully automatic, remote-controlled with a watch, etc.) can be tried out without any problems.

Mini behind-the-ear devices

Mini BTE devices combine sophisticated technology and unusual design in a very small space and are the future of hearing systems.

Unlike conventional BTE devices, they are much smaller, lighter, and very comfortable to wear. The amplified sound is conducted to the eardrum via a mini sound tube.

Mini BTE devices are almost invisible behind the ear, making them a particularly discreet cosmetic hearing aid solution.

An "open hearing aid fitting" with a mini BTE device offers maximum sound quality and the greatest possible natural hearing comfort.

In-the-ear (ITE) devices

In-the-ear hearing systems are worn directly in the ear canal and are often chosen for cosmetic reasons. They can be adjusted for mild to moderate hearing loss. The range of technologies available extends from fully automatic to manually adjustable and remote-controlled. Most devices feature digital signal processing. A multi-microphone solution is chosen for optimal intelligibility in noisy environments.

Depending on how deep these hearing aids sit in the ear canal, there are three different types:

1. Completely in the canal (CIC)
2. In the ear canal – in-the-ear (ITE)
3. In the ear – concha device

Lyric

Lyric wearers have chosen a comfortable, worry-free hearing solution. As a certified Lyric partner, we insert Lyric into the ear canal. Lyric can be worn day and night for a period of approximately 3 months during all your activities.

We stock hearing protection models that are custom-made (based on impressions) for a wide range of needs. Whether for the workplace, music, motorcyclists, etc. For musicians in particular, we recommend hearing protection with linear attenuation of 9/15/25 dB.
