During your NOWESA social year, you will have the opportunity to use all your skills and senses.

Four days of practical training are supplemented by one day of school per week. With us, you will learn about everyday life in nursing, care, or housekeeping. On school days, you can expand and deepen your knowledge, which will make it easier for you to start an apprenticeship in the social sector.

Care and support

Depending on your interests and aptitude, you will complete an internship in nursing, caregiving, or with a family. The two internships usually last six months each. At the end, you will receive a written qualification that provides information about your work, your working methods, and your talents.

Nursing internship: retirement or nursing home, hospital

Support internship: Daycare center, homes for the elderly or people with disabilities

Family internship: Household and childcare

The internship positions are carefully selected, visited, and supervised by the individual schools. Mutual trust and, in most cases, long-standing partnerships with the institutions provide a good basis for a successful internship. You will receive an internship salary during the internship. In most cases, this compensation covers the school and organizational fees. Young people under the age of 20 are entitled to 5 weeks of vacation per year.
