Christen Waagen AG in Zurich has been involved in the distribution and servicing of all types of scales and meat processing machines in Switzerland. The company's offices are located at Badenerstrasse 634 in Zurich-Altstetten, three minutes by car from the Zurich-Altstetten motorway exit, on a popular thoroughfare.

Foundation
The company was founded in 1959 by Erwin Christen as the general representative of SUPREMA, whose factory was located in Santo Stefano, Italy. The company distributed its products through specialist dealers, who resold the scales and meat processing machines to customers. Until then, the scale companies represented in Switzerland had worked with regional representatives. This, together with the optimal price-performance ratio, contributed to the success of Christen Waagen AG.

Expansion and adaptation of the product range
The product range was continuously expanded and updated, ranging from the mechanical SUPREMA scale with 1-gram increments to table, floor, and built-in scales, as well as wall-mounted quarter scales and special scales of all types and designs. In addition, there was a wide range of meat processing machines. At the beginning of the 1990s, electronics also found their way into the weighing industry. The current range includes industrial, shop, and precision scales, as well as slicers and vacuum devices.
