Ich verbringe immer gerne Zeit in der Nordtangente Bar. Hier kann man gute Gespräche führen und gemeinsam auf den vielen Bildschirmen Fußball, Eishockey, Boxen, Rugby und andere Sportarten verfolgen. Das Barpersonal ist in der Regel freundlich, und der Chef versteht es ebenfalls, für gute Stimmung zu sorgen. Die Preise für die Getränke sind sehr fair und liegen oft unter denen anderer Bars in Basel oder größeren Schweizer Städten. Das Ambiente der Bar ist hervorragend: Es gibt gemütliche Sofas, zahlreiche Sitzgelegenheiten und die Musik, die meistens von den 80ern bis 2010er Jahren reicht, sorgt für eine tolle Atmosphäre. Die Beleuchtung ist angenehm und weder zu hell noch zu dunkel. Häufig finden auch Live-Konzerte statt, bei denen talentierte Sänger, Sängerinnen und Musiker auftreten. Welcome to the Hard of Hearing Association of Northwestern Switzerland The Hard of Hearing Association of Northwestern Switzerland is a non-profit organisation for people with a hearing impairment and their carers with around 300 members. Its aim is to better integrate people with a hearing impairment into society and thus improve their quality of life. Services The Hard of Hearing Association of Northwestern Switzerland is a contact point for people with a hearing impairment, their carers and professionals. Courses & events The Hard of Hearing Association of Northwestern Switzerland organises a wide range of events. These include, in particular, hearing training courses with lip reading, memory training workshops, as well as specially organised excursions, lectures and social events.

More than 80 residents have a home in the Gustav Benz House. There are 37 flats attached to the old people's and nursing home according to the assisted living concept. The tenants can make use of Spitex and housekeeping services if required. A residential care group for 10 residents suffering from dementia at Hammerstrasse 161 rounds off the range of services. Over 100 employees are committed to the well-being of our residents.
