Alex Schaufelbühl is a freelance sculptor born in 1967 in Bremgarten AG. He completed his mason apprenticeship in 1987 and sculpture apprenticeship in 1993. He established his own atelier at the Reuss in Gnadenthal, Niederwil in 1999. He is a co-founder of the Freiämter Sagenweg and created twelve sculptures based on old Aargau legends in 2010.
