Since spring 2016, Sumithiran Kandasamy – known as Mitra – and his wife Sathiyapama, known as Sathia, have been running Ristorante Pizzeria Mamma Lucia. Located in the beautiful Emmental region, the restaurant brings authentic Italian cuisine to this unique part of Switzerland. Mamma Lucia is well known in Rüegsauschachen and the surrounding area for genuine Italian flavours. From crispy pizzas and homemade pasta to freshly prepared seasonal salads, there is something for every taste. The inviting restaurant offers seating for up to 80 guests indoors. During summer, guests can also enjoy the spacious terrace, which provides an additional 60 seats. Whether for a relaxed lunch, a cosy dinner, an apéro or a quick bite in between – Mamma Lucia is always a great choice. For private celebrations such as birthdays, weddings, baptisms or company events, dedicated spaces for groups of up to 25 people are available.
