Resy Canonica was born in Lugano, Switzerland, where she lived her childhood and the following school time. She began her studies at the University of Pavia, in Italy, where she majored in Political Science and immediately after to finalize the specialization moved to Germany, in Freiburg, Frankfurt and Giessen, where she earned a Doctorate in Social Science with the publication of “The End of Suharto ‘s New Order” (Ed. Peter Lang). After the academic stage, she had opportunity to start her career working on the field as journalist for Press, Radio and TV in Switzerland and abroad. In 2002 she moved to the newscast of Radiotelevisione Svizzera Italiana (RSI) as correspondent in Frankfurt, special correspondent and anchor.
