20 years ago, the Enzian Foundation opened the Puls+ special school in Zurich-Schwamendingen; the special school capacities were quickly filled, so that two additional departments were established in Zurich and Glattfelden. We now offer 66 curriculum-oriented special school places for students with behavioral problems at three locations. From the first elementary school to the third upper school level, children and adolescents receive benevolent care.

The context in which we operate influences our approach to the project in a decisive way. To produce appropriate design proposals, we believe it essential to take into account the urban fabric and the morphological properties of the landscape. By drawing on architectural models of the past, understood as typological references for formal and composition purposes, we identify a theme connecting the context to our design proposal. The basic idea behind each of our works always stems from the interpretation of a way of living and experiencing space in a given context, both physically and trough social interaction. LIBRERIA DEI RAGAZZI + BAR The Libreria dei Ragazzi, Mendrisio's historic bookstore, is located in the city center. Our bookstore is not just a sales point, but also a place for meeting and reading, where events for children and presentations of books and authors take place on a regular basis. Around two thirds of the space and the books are intended for children and young people, the remaining third for adults; In addition to fiction and non-fiction, the offerings range from psychology to architecture, from travel guides to cooking.
