Spitex Knonaueramt cares for and supports sick, disabled, and convalescent people in their homes. It helps with physical or mental illness, disability, age-related limitations, accidents, maternity, and overload. Spitex Knonaueramt also supports the seriously ill and dying.

With a wide range of services and expert staff, it improves the quality of life of these people, enables them to remain in their own homes, and relieves the burden on relatives.

Spitex Knonaueramt is available to all residents of all ages in the Affoltern district. Residents of the town of Affoltern are offered respite care and psychosocial care services.

• Assessment, counseling, and coordination: Identifying the services required, advising clients and their relatives, coordination and expert advice, support in setting up a sustainable care arrangement.
• Treatment care: Treatment according to medical prescription (including measuring vital signs, administering medication, injections, infusion therapy, etc.).
• Basic care: Assistance with getting up, dressing and undressing, personal hygiene, toileting, positioning, and mobilization.
• Palliative care and support: In cooperation with OnkoPlus and the palliative care unit at Affoltern Hospital.
• Wound management: Wound care in collaboration with doctors according to the latest scientific, medical, and technical knowledge. Advice on choice of therapy, nutrition, use of aids, etc.
