Knechtle Eisenwaren AG

History

In 1904, the company Eisenhandlung zur Platte was founded. Its extensive range of products ranged from screws to all kinds of household items. The agricultural sector was also catered for in a separate department.

In the following years, the range was gradually expanded.

Since 1987, the retail store has been located in the "Haasefabrik," which was acquired in 1942 and initially used as a warehouse. In 2002, the household goods business was discontinued.

Hans Knechtle ran Knechtle Eisenwaren AG until December 31, 2012, already in the third generation.

Daniel Wild has been the owner and managing director since January 1, 2013.
