Welcome to Nautik Schule Basel, the friendly and competent driving school.

Located in the heart of Basel, the only Swiss city with access to the sea, we are the leading training company in the nautical sector. On the Rhine and on all the world's oceans, we provide safe and straightforward training to qualify you as a boat captain or skipper.
 

Boating school:
We are proud to call ourselves the most successful boat driving school in the region. Thanks to the pedagogical skills and extensive experience of our team, you will be prepared for the practical exam safely and in accordance with the requirements.

The most modern boats are available for you. We teach on Jeanneau 635 with inboard drive with rigid shaft, and Jeanneau 695 with outboard motor (150 hp). Both boats have heating and offer a high level of comfort.

These training boats were built specifically for training and offer students the ideal conditions for learning to sail.

Sailing school:

Sailing training is divided into a theoretical and a practical part.
Theory courses We run more than 10 theory courses each year. These extremely popular courses provide you with the training you need to pass the theory exam. The practical explanations are also very important for a thorough education. These interesting courses are definitely worth attending.

The offer of sailing training on the Rhine has been met with great enthusiasm and lively interest.
 

Offshore training:

René and Ruedi, themselves owners of sailing yachts, were able to perfect the multifaceted knowledge required to skipper yachts and train skippers during numerous test runs and the initial assembly of yachts at the shipyard. René and Ruedi have proven that neither engine failure in difficult situations nor wind speeds above 10 Bft can rattle them, having sailed tens of thousands of miles across the Atlantic Ocean and through the Red Sea and Indian Ocean. Their extensive knowledge and practical experience guarantee a highly informative and interesting course.

Driving school: Our driving school vehicles are two Saab Turbo convertibles with everything you could possibly need.

We now also offer lessons in Audis with automatic transmission!
 

Basic motorcycle courses:

Prices:

• Price per lesson: CHF 95
• 1 lesson: 45 minutes
• Driving school insurance: CHF 90 (mandatory)
• Meeting point in the theory room at St. Alban-Rheinweg 94 / 3rd floor on the left
• The mandatory basic motorcycle course for 125 cc motorcycles comprises two courses of 3 1/2 hours each. If you are unable to attend one of these lessons, you must make it up. If there are insufficient registrations, the courses may be postponed. Course fees: 2 x CHF 180 / At the end of the course, you will receive a certificate of attendance from us.

Required equipment:

• Approved protective helmet (ECE Reg. 22)
• Motorcycle boots: High shoes with ankle protection (no sneakers/low shoes)
• Motorcycle gloves: Abrasion-resistant gloves (no wool/fleece gloves)
• Motorcycle pants: Sturdy, long pants
• Motorcycle jacket: Sturdy long-sleeved jacket
