Your family-run driving school in Basel for 49 years

It all started with our father and grandfather Bertram Fernando's enthusiasm for cars and a Mazda 121 in 1971. After arriving in Switzerland in the 1960s, he worked as a bus mechanic and later decided to become a driving instructor. Not only because Bertram loved cars, but also because he enjoyed working with people.

Thanks to his friendly manner and fair approach, the Fernando driving school quickly established itself in the Basel region. In 1987, his son Marc got behind the wheel, followed by his daughter Indi in 1992. With Kisha Spagnolo-Fernando and her husband Antonio Spagnolo-Fernando, the third generation of the family is now working at the driving school.

Our clientele also spans generations. Grandchildren often come to the driving school whose grandparents learned to drive with us 40 or 50 years ago. Another integral part of our company history is our mint green logo, which has been the unmistakable trademark of our driving school since 1989.

We are loyal, fair, and responsible. We don't offer unnecessary driving lessons. Quality comes before quantity. Just like a typical family.
