Altersheim Beatenberg

The retirement and nursing home is located in picturesque Beatenberg, around 1,200 meters above sea level. The building was constructed in 1981/82 and expanded and completely renovated in 2013/14. It offers seniors a home with a fantastic view of the Bernese Alps, the Eiger, Mönch, and Jungfrau triumvirate, and the deep blue Lake Thun. In the most beautiful place in the world, according to Erich von Däniken, everyday life is peaceful and harmonious.

Our home has 33 single rooms equipped with a bath or shower and toilet.

Thirty rooms have direct access to their own balcony, which can be furnished and equipped according to the resident's wishes.

The large, glass-roofed seating area facing the Niederhorn is an inviting and cool shaded spot in summer. Seniors, visitors, and guests enjoy spending time here and watching the world go by. Our garden provides the perfect atmosphere for quiet and relaxing moments. With unrestricted views of the mountains, the gentle splashing of the integrated fountain, and comfortable seating, it offers a relaxing environment that invites you to dream. From time to time, we need some help with landscaping on our own property below the garden, so we offer some sheep a quiet place to graze, giving visitors a glimpse into the animal world.
