Traditional Chinese medicine has been practiced for more than 3,000 years. Its concept views the human being as a whole. Acupuncture, which affects energy and blood circulation, is a discipline of Chinese medicine. It not only enables diseases to be treated, but also prevents them. It has proven effective for a variety of ailments and problems. Musculoskeletal complaints: joint, muscle, and tendon pain. Sciatica, tennis elbow, neck pain, lumbago, Achilles tendon problems, periarthritis. Neurological complaints: headaches, migraines, dizziness, nerve paresis or paralysis. Digestive complaints: constipation, diarrhea, loss of appetite, flatulence. Respiratory complaints: asthma, sinusitis, cough, cold. Allergies: hay fever. Skin complaints: acne, eczema, shingles. Urogenital complaints: menstrual disorders, menopausal symptoms. Circulatory complaints: low or high blood pressure, heavy legs, cold extremities. Metabolic disorders: obesity, diabetes. Penzel acupuncture massage

Penzel acupuncture massage (APM) is a holistic form of treatment based on the principles of acupuncture, energy circulation, the five elements theory, and ear acupuncture. It was developed in the 1950s by Willy Penzel.

How does acupuncture massage work? According to Far Eastern medicine, the energy system is superior to all other body systems. It explains all kinds of symptoms and illnesses with a weakened energy flow, i.e., every body system (e.g., muscles, nerves, organs) can only perform its task optimally if it is supplied with the right amount of energy. The aim of APM is therefore to restore the disturbed energy flow and thus alleviate the symptoms.

Does health insurance cover APM treatment? I am registered with most health insurance companies. The costs of treatment are covered by health insurance companies through supplementary insurance for alternative medicine, and a doctor's prescription is not usually required. However, it is advisable to check with your health insurance company directly before starting therapy to find out the conditions under which they will cover the costs.
