Wood construction / carpentry
People have been carpentry for thousands of years. We continue this craft with new technologies. Proven craftsmanship, supported by state-of-the-art technology, is essential wherever wood plays a key role.
We manufacture roof trusses and wooden structures of all kinds for you. Our work also includes the construction of shelters/carports, entrance canopies, and balconies. We also have the expertise for agricultural and industrial buildings. We solve both complex and simple roof structures professionally. The various construction tasks are planned and executed down to the last detail with the help of modern CAD systems.
We also clad walls and ceilings with various types of paneling and manufacture straight and spiral staircases in a wide variety of wood types. We also install roof dormers. We are not only active in new construction and renovation, we also carry out repairs.

Facades
Facades make houses: this modified proverb applies more to buildings than the one about clothes making people. Whether rear-ventilated and made of wood, clinker, or with thermal insulation, the facade not only determines the appearance, but is also closely related to the entire construction and energy balance of a building.
Wood, metal, glass, plastic, etc.
Wood is not only being used (again) more frequently in construction and as an energy source, but also for facades. The positive properties of this natural material may contribute to this: wood insulates and protects, is ecological and natural, and, last but not least, is very easy to work with. Curtain-type, rear-ventilated facades with battens on the masonry – often filled with thermal insulation – are common, onto which the outer wooden slats, boards, or shingles are attached. The wood can be treated with glaze, varnish, or oil paint. If the client does not want to treat the wood, weather-resistant wood must be used, such as larch. With untreated wood, changes to the surface due to external influences that cannot be predicted with complete accuracy must be expected.

Building envelope renovation
The building envelope has the demanding task of providing the house with the necessary protection against external adversities. In addition, the building envelope is of utmost importance when it comes to the climate inside the house – because it not only prevents the penetration of heat, frost, and moisture, but also ensures adequate ventilation of the interior.

Element construction
Wooden houses built using element construction are ecological, individual, flexible, and quick to build. Bosshard Söhne AG can erect a wooden house completely within a few days. This is only possible because the house components are precisely prefabricated in our modern carpentry workshop. We build walls, ceilings, floors, and roofs using CAD-supported planning. Everything fits together perfectly and only needs to be assembled on the construction site. It doesn't always have to be entire houses. We also completely prefabricate individual roof trusses in our workshop. From the visible interior cladding to the tile battens, the finished element is assembled on the construction site. Extensions and superstructures can also be prefabricated using element construction, also known as timber frame construction.

Steko timber house system
STEKO is a modular system featuring the latest technology and construction methods that enables sustainable building while meeting the highest standards in terms of stability, durability, comfort, and design freedom. STEKO is a building system that opens up completely new dimensions for builders, planners, and contractors. Never before has it been so easy to build rock-solid, healthy, and ecologically valuable houses.
The Steko timber construction system is based on a few basic elements that can be assembled quickly and easily. The core component is the handy basic module, which weighs approx. 6.5 kg and has a length of 640 mm and a height of 320 or 240 mm. All components are 160 mm wide. In addition to the 4-part module, there are 3-, 2- and 1-part modules.
A threshold is used as the lower end and a tie-in with a height of 8 cm is used as the upper end. The system is completed with the soffit boards. With these few parts, all load-bearing and non-load-bearing interior and exterior walls of a house can be built.

Parquet – a lifetime of living comfort
A wide range of design options thanks to different types of wood (maple, oak, birch, beech, cherry, ash, etc.) and laying patterns (ship deck, English, herringbone, braided pattern, etc.) are guaranteed to meet your personal requirements. The surface can be treated individually with oil or a sealant. Let us advise you. Stairs
Climb up! Nothing could be easier! Stairs of all kinds make this step easy. With our many years of experience, we are happy to help you find the ideal staircase for your home or property. A wooden staircase is not only beautiful to look at, but also easy to maintain and durable.
Straight or winding, we can offer you all possible shapes and types. It doesn't necessarily have to be wood. We are open to a wide variety of materials.
Sawmill
We process local round timber into boards, beams, and slats. We also saw your tree trunks into boards and beams. Most of the wood cut in the sawmill is further processed in the carpentry and joinery workshop. Roof battens and double battens are either resold or installed on roofs by our own roofers. Our horizontal log band saw is specially designed for customer wood. Are you looking for a way to turn the walnut tree in your garden into a dining table? Then our sawmill is the place for you.
Roof maintenance
The roof is one of the most heavily used parts of a building. Since it is not directly visible to the observer, it is often mistakenly neglected in terms of maintenance and care. All materials, including roofing and sealing materials, are subject to a natural aging process. Roof surfaces are particularly exposed to the elements.
